Conventional wiping cloths cannot completely wipe away oil film. This is caused by the thickness of the fibers that the cloth is made from. Ordinary fibers are about 10 microns diameter making it impossible for them to clean away the oil dirt that is inside a 1-2 micron oil film. EXiM's independently developed "Islands-In-A-Sea Type Conjugated fibers" is the first 0.06 denier fiber, with a thickness of about two microns diameter. We have developed a new wiping cloth with superior chemical and physical stability that wipes away dirt firmly embedded in oil film. |

- The thinner the fiber, the better it wipes away dirt embedded under film. Ultra-fine Micro-fibers of EXiM are two microns in diameter.
- Arraying these Ultra-fine Micro-fibers at high densities in the surface of a EXiM wiping cloth mean that if the first fiber misses the oil film the next ones will get it.

- Capillary action moves the wiped-away oil film and dirt from the surface to the inside where the "Micro-pockets" trap it.
